Research the company as well as you can. You need to find out as much as possible about the management team, the owners of the company, and potentially any other companies they have run in the past. When researching the company, be wary of articles with titles such as, “Is ABC company a scam?”. There are many articles written like this, that are actually positive promotions of that company, but you have been tricked into clicking on their site, thinking you’re about to read something controversial. This is a very amateurish tactic, and this method is generally employed by beginners. Look for articles or reviews of the company from well respected, and legitimate sites.
It is important that there is a retail component for your product line, and you should be asking yourself these questions.
- Do you like the products?
- Are they consumable? (Do customers need to keep buying these products? One off purchases make it a lot harder to generate income.)
- Is there an actual need for the products in the market place?
- Do these products meet this need?
- Are they priced to sell? And,
- Are they priced for profit?
One other question you need to ask yourself is, “would I buy these products if there was no business attached to them?” Having belief in your products, and a passion for sharing these products with others makes business a lot easier.
If you are new to Network Marketing, understanding compensation plans, can be a very confusing thing. These are the things you need to find out.
- Can people generate income quickly? A person should be able to develop a moderate, part time income in a reasonably short time.
- For the people who are really serious, there should be a genuine possibility of earning a serious full time income
You should be able to get a simple explanation of the company’s compensation plan from the company website.
To be successful in a Network Marketing company, you need to have support systems in place. Check to see if the company has the following things in place.
- Does the company have an official website?
- Does it have a solid online reporting tool? (A tool that allows you to manage your business and your team, as well as being able to easily sign up new distributors. These days, many companies provide very effective phone apps, which makes running your business so much easier.)
- Does the company have comprehensive training?
- Do they host online, and live events to help you develop as a distributor?
Choosing a Network Marketing company is a personal decision, but make sure it meets these criteria. Choose ONE company, and one company only.
