If you are very new to network marketing, and you are feeling a bit lost and overwhelmed, I want you to know that what you are feeling is very normal.
In today’s article, I am going to share some tips for new network marketers, to help you succeed in your business, and help you to stay in one of the best industries on the planet.
If you follow my tips, you will give yourself a much greater chance of success, and you will be able to take your business as far as you want to go.
Network Marketing Success Takes Time
The first thing you need to understand is, network marketing is a long term career. There is no ‘getting rich quick’, no ‘the business sells itself’, and no magic formula to make it happen overnight. Embrace the fact that it can take a few years to build your business.
If you have got into network marketing, and you think, “I’ll give it a few months, and see how it goes”, you are in the wrong place, and maybe this isn’t the industry for you. This is a long term profession, and if you approach it this way, that is what it will become for you. It takes time, but it is really worth the persistence.
Get To Events
You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.
Whoever you chose to associate with, you will inevitably become, so look at the people around you, see what they do, and how they live their lives, and decide if this is the person you want to become also.
Attending events, amplifies this principle. By attending events, you are associating with people who are motivated, driven, and successful. This has an amazing effect on you psychologically, and will help drive you to achieve what these people have achieved.
There is a saying in network marketing that says, “Not everyone who attends events, makes money, but everyone who is making money, attends events!” Get to every event you can. Show up, be involved, and be around the people you want to emulate.
Release Your Need For Approval
Not everyone is going to share your enthusiasm for network marketing. Many people quit this industry because they are more attached to what other people think, than they are to their own outcome.
Who cares what other people think? This is your journey, not theirs, and their opinions should not stop you from achieving the success you deserve.
You must realise that you may not get the approval you were hoping for from everyone, and that’s ok. Just keep going with what you are doing, and search for people who are aligned with your vision, and what you think.
You will be judged along the way by people who don’t know any better, or are threatened by the fact that you are trying to achieve more than they ever will. Just keep going. When you have become successful, the right people will still be in your life.
Work On Yourself
This is critical, not only for success in life, but also success in network marketing. Read books that improve your skills, educate you about the industry, and develop you as a person. The more you develop, and evolve yourself as a person, the faster you will have success.
I firmly believe that personal development is one of the major keys to being successful in this industry, and if you don’t develop personally, your results will reflect this.
Read books, listen to podcasts, search the internet, do anything you can to make yourself better as a person, and you will be a lot further along the path than the people who don’t do this. If you want to be better in any aspect of your life, you have to be better.
Income Producing Activities
It is far too easy to spend your day on social media, check a few emails, post the odd thing on facebook, and generally waste your day, all the while convincing yourself you have been busy.
You are in business, and unless your daily activities consist of intentional actions, and the avoidance of doing things that just waste your time, and your life, you will fail. Get to work, and do things that will potentially have a desired result, and move you forward.
Focus on being active. Make connections on social media sites, and focus on relationship building.
Post things of value on social media. Share your business opportunity with everyone you can. Help as many people as you can, in any way you can.
Do anything that may generate interest, and make you money. Just DON’T waste your days, and kid yourself you’re in business.
NEVER QUIT! Keep going, ride through the tough times, and keep focused on what you’re trying to achieve, and the people you are trying to achieve it for. You will make it, you can do it, and you will be successful.
