In order to be successful in your home business, you need to get every aspect of your life organised. Being organised has several positive effects on your business, and on your life.
- You are able to be more efficient with your time, because organising your surroundings causes you to be more organised in your mind.
- You feel better, and you become clearer about the things you need to get done on a daily basis.
- You attract more people to your business, because they can see that you are serious, and professional about your business.
- You attract like minded people to your business. Organised people get more done, and tend to be a lot more determined than chaotic people.
- You will consistently be presenting a positive image to potential prospects.

You make think this is an unrealistic example, but time and time again, I see people doing Periscope broadcasts, Facebook Live broadcasts, and posting photos of themselves, with scenes like this in the background.
How attractive is this to people you are trying to attract into your business?
Would you be inspired to get into a business with someone who was happy to live like this?
Take the time to clear your home, your car, and your life of clutter and chaos, and you will see an immediate change in how you feel, and this will flow through to your business.
Getting your house totally organised, can seem like an overwhelming chore, but if you are serious about being successful in your business, you will find the drive and determination to make this a priority.
Organising your time
Some business people are able to keep all their appointments, and schedules in their head, and they operate very well like this, but if you are not this type of person, you need effective ways to organise your time.
Utilising white boards, yearly calendars, diaries, planners, writing daily goals, and setting daily schedules are just some of the ways to better organise your business.
Personally, I schedule my days, and allocate a certain block of time to all my tasks; answering emails, marketing on social media, blog writing, follow up calls, time with family etc.
When I first started running home businesses, I had no structure, and I found that it was really easy to get distracted by things on facebook, reading other people’s tweets, watching Youtube videos, etc. As much as I felt I was really busy, I wasn’t doing anything that was going to produce an income.
Getting my daily activities organised, had a huge change in how I run my businesses.
Organising your life for success, is the first thing you should do if you run a home business. The time and effort it takes to get this done, will be one of the biggest investments you can make in yourself, your business, and your life.
