Are you in a network marketing company, but can’t seem to get anywhere? Do you see people all around you progressing, but no matter what you do, you just can’t get the same results?
Struggling in network marketing is a common problem, but don’t panic, this situation is not permanent, and there are solutions, but you will need to accept a bit of tough love first.
YOU are responsible for your results
This is the first point you MUST come to terms with if you are serious about progressing.
There is no easy way to put this, if you are struggling in network marketing it is your fault! Not your upline. Not the company. Not the products. And, not the industry.
The good news is, as soon as you can truly acknowledge this fact, you are on the path to freeing yourself from your past results.
Some of the most successful people in network marketing have been in the exact same position as you, but they have managed to get past this, and you can too.
Negative Self Talk
What we say to ourselves on a daily basis, becomes our reality.
Our sub-conscious mind does not know the difference between fact and fantasy. It is an ever obedient servant, and whatever we tell it, it believes, records, and goes to work to produce in our physical world.
What we say, comes straight out of our mouths, into our ears, and becomes true. If you don’t believe me, just pause for a minute, and think about how you talk about your business.
If you are struggling in network marketing, I would bet anything that you often use phrases like, “I can’t get anywhere.” ”No matter what I do, nothing works.” “Everyone else is having success, except me.” The reason I am able to be 100% confident about knowing what you’re saying, is because, the person who used to say these things was ME!
If you resonate with any of this, it is crucial you change your self talk immediately. Whether you believe the opposite of what you’ve been saying or not, it doesn’t matter. Start ‘brainwashing’ yourself with better self talk, and keep saying it until you believe it. The more passion and energy you put into your self talk, the faster things will change.
Develop your skills
The easiest way to work out what skills you need to develop, is to look at your results.
If you’re talking to a lot of people about your opportunity, but no-one is joining, you need to work on how, and what you are saying to people.
If you are not talking to anyone, you need to find more ways to connect with people, whether it’s face to face, or online. If you have sponsored people into your team, but they are not doing anything, then maybe, your leadership skills need some work.
Lack of skills is one of the more common reasons to be struggling in network marketing, but it can easily be fixed if you’re prepared to put in the work.
Find yourself a Mentor
It is not an uncommon problem to join a company, and then realise that there is a total absence of leaders or mentors in your immediate upline.
It may also be the case that there are people in your upline that will help you, but you haven’t made the effort to attend their training, or you haven’t reached out to them enough.
If you really don’t have anyone that you can work with in your own organisation, then I highly recommend searching for people online who can and will help you. These people are offering training and advice to ANY network marketers, regardless of which company you’re with.
No companies are mentioned in theses podcasts, or Periscope broadcasts. It is not an opportunity to prospect, it is the opportunity to learn and grow as a network marketer.
(If you’re stuck for ideas, I would recommend following some or all of these people on Periscope; Ray Higdon, Jessica Higdon, Eric Worre, Simon Chan, Richard Matharoo, Cedrick Harris, Cesar Rodriguez, Matt Morris, Todd Falcone)
Struggling in network marketing is a situation you need to get out of as quickly as possible.
It IS possible to do it, and it doesn’t need to be a difficult process. Take full ownership of your current situation, and just make a firm decision that you are not going to be that person any more.
Get to work, and keep working until you are getting the results you want. Taking action, and being fully responsible for your own results will put an end to the struggle, and greatly improve your chances of success
